Moriah first graced the stage at the tender age of six! Her first eight years of entertainment consisted of being in over thirty theatre productions. Acting was her passion. She loved to play a variety of characters...especially the parts that were different from her personality. These parts amused her and developed her stage presence and acting abilities. Some of her favorite roles were "Polly" in the Magician's Nephew and "Winnie Tate" in Annie Get Your Gun. She also enjoyed playing parts such as an evil queen, Hermia, and her first role in a full-length play when she was six...a "lady-in-waiting-in waiting" in Once upon a Mattress!
When she was almost fifteen, a new door of opportunity opened for her. She began to receive invitations to sing at fairs, festivals, and events around Central Florida. She has performed in Orange, Pasco, Highlands, Polk, and Manatee counties. While it's hard to pick her favorite singing engagements, some of her highlights have been:
Going to LA as a memeber of Team USA for the World Championship of Performing Arts competiton!
Singing for the first time in Nashville...along with recording her first original song at the historic Ryman Auditorium!
Gram Parson's Derry Down is being restored...she got to be a part of a show with some amazing musicians for her band.
Singing the National Anthem for the Oviedo Mall Race for the Cure, and singing on the race course to encourage the participants...but they ended up showing her a ton of support and encouragement!
Singing with Wills and the Way for a fundraiser for Give Kids the World.
Singing at the Strawberry Festival in Plant City.
And the list could go on, like singing the National Anthem for the Orlando Solar Bears, and the Gators Baseball games!
Moriah got a guitar for Christmas 2015. She is learning how to play and is "picking" it up pretty fast. She is really looking forward to the time when she is ready to start performing with the guitar...moving her from the world of a Karaoke singer to a musician and singer! She is even entering into the world of song writing!
